Christy Behrendt-Perez, LPCC
Christy is the owner and founder of Center for Healing and Peace, LLC. She has a passion to help people work through tough times in their lives in order for them to reach their full potential and to gain a new peace. Christy is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor licensed by the state of Ohio Counselor, Social worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Christy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Ohio State University and her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from the University of Dayton. Christy is also a member of the American Association or Christian Counselors.
Christy specializes in working with children, teens and adults. She enjoys working with adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, traumatic experiences, and life adjustments to difficult situations. She also offers couples counseling, family therapy and counseling for addiction. Christy is trained in EMDR therapy, (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and uses this therapy as needed to assist her clients in healing from trauma and working through strong negative beliefs about themselves. She assists clients in reducing anxiety and depression symptoms while increasing their coping skills. She assists parents of children from ages 2 and older who struggle with behavioral issues. She is also trained in the Gottman Method (Level 1) for Couples’ therapy. Christy is also trained to work with military veterans and their families who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma as well deployment transitions.
Christy uses a Christian perspective when serving individuals, couples and families in order to promote on-going healing from past and present difficulties, circumstances and events.
Sarah Perry, LPCC-S
Sarah is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision designation licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Sarah earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from the Alliance Graduate School of Counseling (Nyack College) in Nyack, NY.
Sarah specializes in working with adults and teens. She enjoys working with youth ages 12 and older to enhance their social skills, addiction prevention, and school related concerns. She also works with clients to heal from traumatic events and is trained in EMDR. She is skilled in working with women to promote and enhance emotional health and wellness as well as young adults who are working towards their personal autonomy goals. She is experienced in helping clients set boundaries and create healthy relationships. Sarah assists clients in reducing anxiety and depression symptoms while also working to increase their coping skills.
